Information-cognitive presentations were held in Batumi Boulevard In connection with the World Environment Day. About 50 pupils, by initiative and organization of Batumi Boulevard, were informed about of Environmental Protection and Ecological Biodiversity. In order to raise awareness among schoolchildren, field specialists have presented interesting and cognitive video presentations. The information meeting covered such issues, connecting with the boulevard and environmental, as people and nature, ecological problems, solid waste management, flora and green spaces of the boulevard. The meeting was finished with the video clips prepared by Batumi Boulevard, which included themes of the boulevard's four seasons and pollution of recreational zone. Upon finishing of the meeting schoolchildren were awarded the information booklets about the green plants of the Boulevard.

"Environmental issues are very actually and important for the Batumi Boulevard. Our territory includes both the marine and green zones, where pollution risks are very large. Consequently, in order to increase consciousness in the society similar information awareness meetings are necessary for the young generation," - said Irakli Jincharadze.

The World Environment Day is aimed at raising human awareness in maintaining biodiversity and active involvement of the public in environmental issues.
