The Representation of UN Women International Organization in Georgia, LEPL Maritime Transport Agency, Georgian "Women's International Shipping and Trade Association" - WISTA Georgia in the framework of the 2nd Georgian International Marine Forum - GIMF had signed a memorandum, the main purpose of which is the economic and social empowerment, integration and support of women.

From November 25 to December 10, UN Women organizes a social campaign - a 16-day activity against gender-based violence and harassment.

Today, within the frames of cooperation between LEPL Batumi Boulevard and Maritime Transport Agency, the Public Defender's Office with the support of UN Women's Representation of Georgia has held a training on Gender Violence for the employees of LEPL "Batumi Boulevard".

At the meeting the necessity of raising public awareness, society engagement to overcome this problem and the importance to finding preventive ways were discussed.
