National Day of France was celebrated in Batumi

July 14, the National Day of France was celebrated in Batumi State University. The Ambassador of France to Georgia – Pascal Meunier attended the event along with other officials.

National Day of France is celebrated in French embassies, educational and francophone organizations around the world. This event, after Tbilisi, was held in Batumi for the first time. Batumi Boulevard also participated in it. At the event, along with views of Paris, were also exhibited images of the old boulevard, as well as photographs of Iason Gordeziani and French gardener Michel D'Alfons, who were educated in France.

Along with a photo exhibition in the lobby of the university, variations of French classical music were performed, namely "Carmen" by Bizet, and also Dalila's aria from the "Samson and Delilah" by Saint-Saens opera. The BSU band also participated in music events, the mimes painted in the colors of the French flag, students of the “Euro 2000” school and the US-Georgian school were involved in various activities.
