Skate Park Festival

On June 1, LEPL Batumi Boulevard organized a Skate Park Festival in connection with the International Children's Day. The festival covered different age groups (from 6 to 16 years old) and children and adults participating in it performed various activities on skateboards, scooters and rollerblades: skateboarding, maneuvering, jumping over obstacles with various stunts.

As part of the Skatepark Festival, children were offered a specially designed cognitive-entertaining program and interesting surprises. The event ended with a fire show. The participants were greeted by the acting director of Batumi Boulevard Sofio Lazishvili, who informed the children about important news. According to her, in the future, on the initiative and support of the Adjara government, a new skate park will be built on Batumi Boulevard. The news, announced by the head of the boulevard among the participants of the Skate Park festival, was accepted with special joy and applause.

The skate park located on Batumi Boulevard has been especially popular among children recently, which adds more color to the sports and recreational environment of the seaside park. The Skate Park Festival, organized by the boulevard, was held in Batumi for the first time. The official supporter of the event was the company "Tolia".

Skatepark activities originated in the United States in the late 1980s. Roller skating enthusiasts have developed various roller skating disciplines. Along with skateboarding, scooter riding has recently become very popular.
