A new square is being arranged on the old boulevard, adjacent to the colonnade. The works of arrangement of the square on the area of about 2,000 sq.m. are already underway. Wolking paths, curbs, ornamental sand covering will be laid and outdoor lighting will be installed on the project area. Also, garden wooden Chair-swings will be placed within the project. The pedestal of the busts of Ukrainian public figures Taras Shevchenko and Lesia Ukrainka existing in the square will be completely reconstructed and covered with marble tiles. Various types of ornamental tree-plants will also be planted. The works are carried out by the winner of the tender company "Roda". The total cost of the project is 124 thousand GEL and it will be completed by the end of December. The new recreation space will significantly improve the appearance of the existing area and create an additional attractiveness for visitors. The project was developed according to the Development Plan based on the permission of the LEPL Cultural Heritage Protection Agency of Adjara.
