A meeting was held with the representatives of the tourism sector in connection with the preparation of the summer tourist season in Adjara, which was attended by the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Adjara, Jaba Putkaradze, and the Mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani.

At the meeting, attention was focused on current tourism projects in the region, updated tourism products and expectations of the tourist season.

At the event, together with the head of the tourism department Acting Director of Batumi Boulevard Sophio Lazishvili, made a presentation on current and planned projects. According to her, in connection with the summer tourist season, Batumi Boulevard, as one of the main attractions of the country, switched to an emergency mode of operation.

“Our goal is to meet the increased flow of tourists with proper service and orderly infrastructure.

This year, such important projects It should be emphasized as the creation of a skate and roller park on the territory of the new boulevard, the rehabilitation of a children’s playground on the old boulevard, the provision of information and tourist signs, rehabilitation of existing statues, the arrangement of new landscape spaces, etc."
